In Poland, August Faller relies on the EyeC Proofiler Graphic to check pre-press files. Bartosz Ciesiołkiewicz, Production Manager at August Faller in Łódź, shares with us his opinion about this pre-press inspection system: an obvious choice, almost a standard for the Polish subsidiary of August Faller.
Specializing in the manufacturing of packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, August Faller is a company with rich traditions in the international market. The printing house takes care of every detail and is famous for its high quality. The company cooperates with EyeC on a global scale. For its Polish subsidiary, the EyeC Proofiler Graphic was an obvious choice, almost a standard.
When did you start using the EyeC Proofiler Graphic?
We have used the EyeC Proofiler Graphic for a year and a half, practically since the beginning of our operations. It is an integral part of the technological process.
So the system works as expected?
We are happy with it, most of all because it meets our expectations. We can be sure that we print exactly what the customer expects.
What do customers expect?
When a customer submits his design, the expectation is that the print file will be faithful to the original. Customers trust us and therefore we carry responsibility for the task. In the process of preparing a file for approval, an operator may unconsciously add some elements or forget about others - these things happen. Our job is to detect such errors at the earliest stage. What matters is speed and accuracy.
Do brand owners – especially pharmaceutical companies who are regarded as the most demanding and meticulous customers - often have such systems?
Yes. Our customers are very aware of the effectiveness of inspection systems and they usually have their own, compatible - in terms of results - solution. This makes our cooperation easier and faster. The pharmaceutical industry appreciates such solutions. They are an ideal market for us, as they invest in quality.
Was the installation of the EyeC Proofiler Graphic an absolute necessity then?
Absolutely. What matters in this industry is every single detail, and the quality of the product must be at the highest level. The quality requirements in the production of packaging for the pharmaceutical industry are special and our Polish market is starting to understand this fact and act accordingly.
